Welcome to my first blog post! After googling “5 best tips for writing a blog,” talking to an expert blogger (my wife Daina – check out dkalnins.weebly.com) and agonizing over how I was going to make my first blogging attempt a masterpiece that everyone will love, will stimulate a burning desire to post responses and serve as a major contribution to the blogosphere, here it is!
My blogging expert (see wife mentioned above) was quick to explain that my first blog will probably be none of the above. It takes time to find one’s “voice,” “style” and certainly a following. Her guidance stimulated me to not worry about how the first blog will look and to just share what is on my mind. So here goes:
- I am writing a blog so that multiple perspectives on pharmacy topics can be provided that may not always be “preaching to choir.”
- I am writing a blog so others can speak their mind and agree, disagree or agree to disagree on opinions voiced and positions taken on initiatives and legislation.
- I am writing a blog to share with all those interested why pharmacists should be valued health care providers.
I’m sure I will be able to add to this list as time goes on, but for now, first blog “in the can.”
Nice job Val!
